Luxury Vinyl Tiles
Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT) such as Moduleo and Karndean flooring provide a natural finish that is highly durable & easy to maintain. LVT is designed to be comfortable and practical whilst maintaining the beauty of natural flooring.
Luxury Vinyl Tiles vs Wood
LVT give you the visual qualities of natural wood, but without difficulties. Natural timber comes in varying quality and can expand, warp and shrink. LVT maintains their shape throughout their lifetime.
Wood is susceptible to temperature changes, and if it gets wet you can be in real trouble. LVTs can handle changes in temperature and spills of water.
If you want to add personality to your LVT floor, you might decide to incorporate one of the border options. Borders are available in a wide range of designs so you’ll be able to find one to suit you
Luxury Vinyl Tiles vs Stone, Marble and Ceramics
Natural stone can be hard to manage and weight can be a problem, especially if you want to fit upstairs. LVTs are much lighter, more flexible and easier to install. Floors utilising LVTs are warmer – the cold touch of stone and marble can be a bit off-putting in cold weather. Textures can help to avoid slippery surfaces, especially in areas which get wet, like the bathroom, kitchen, hall or utility.
Luxury Vinyl Tiles vs Carpet
There are some big practicalities of LVTs over carpet. LVTs are easier to clean, especially if you are busy, have children or pets to clear up after. So you can keep your floor looking good for longer. Our floors do not harbour dust mites or bacteria – unlike carpets. Our residential guarantees start from 12 years and rise to 20 years for the Art Select and Da Vinci premium ranges.
It’s hard to find a carpet with such durability. LVTs can be laid over under floor heating systems. In the unlikely event of damage it is possible to replace a plank or tile, a huge advantage over carpet which would need to be completely replaced. If you really want carpet, then we don’t have a woolly LVT, but you could be surprised by the warmth and comfort of our floors. Why not ask for a sample?
Luxury Vinyl Tiles vs Laminates & Vinyl's
Laminates and vinyl’s just aren’t in the same league as LVTs. Quite simply the quality, colour, finish, effects and guarantee is much better. Many man made materials, including laminate, can curl or shrink whereas Design flooring maintains its shape throughout its lifetime. LVTs are hard wearing. We should point out that LVT flooring does take longer to fit than roll and sheet products such as carpet or linoleum. However, we believe the advantages outweigh this, and in comparison, it is quicker to lay than many other hard flooring products such as stone and timber.
Danny and the team, at Gibbs Carpets & Flooring worked so hard to organise and finish our carpets before Christmas. The service was always polite and helpful. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a good, reliable carpet company JS - Wisbech
